Rio Grande Fire Department

   The Rio Grande Fire Department recently put into service a new/used tanker that was purchased from the Bargaintown Fire Company near Egg Harbor New Jersey.

The truck is a 1986 Mack with a 4,000 gallon stainless steel tank, stainless steel body and a 1,000 GPM front mount pump. The truck was in excellent condition with low mileage and a price that was right. This truck replaces our 1965 tanker that was starting to take a toll on the department financially. Several of the members made the trip to look at the truck and then went back to pick it up.
